There’s been some upset the past few days. Monday Chloe got home and read her e-mails to discover that the UEA want her to take a year out next year as they won’t support her during her pregnancy. Shit. However despite being initially crushing and on thinking it over this may in fact be a good thing as it means she can concentrate on baby for a year and then go back to Uni with less to worry about. As it was she would have had to take some time off and then go back and try and catch up with everything which may have been too difficult.
The second bit of bad news we received was that Boo went to the Doctor yesterday as she’s been feeling rather ill the past week or so and has a constant headache and keeps getting dizzy. They initially thought it was lumbar puncture issues again but they then took her blood pressure and it’s very, very low. She’s always had low bp but this was much lower than she usually is. The Dr. hypothesised that the baby is now drawing that much extra blood that her heart isn’t coping with the extra strain which is pretty worrying. They did a blood test which we’ll get the results of next week and she’s got to go and see an endocrinologist at the hospital for further tests. As it is she’s been signed off work for this week (and last) and has been told to rest and take it very easy. We’re off on holiday next week in Cromer with Lucy & Nige so that should help a bit too.
Since then she’s heard from the Uni that she won’t need to take exams in August so that’s a weight off her mind and she’s arranged to go speak with someone at Uni as to her options. It’s all very confusing.
