One of the places we went to with Chloe’s family was Covehithe, a small village in Suffolk, just north of Southwold. There are two notable things about the place - the first is that the church is built within the ruins of a larger church due to “downsizing” and the second is the fact it’s slowly falling into the sea. The picture below is the main road into the village which now heads off the edge of the cliff. We walked along the beach and you can see that when the tide is in it reaches right up to the cliffs. In 50 years the church will be gone.
Apologies for the less than stellar quality but I had to use my phone which, although perfectly adequate, is nowhere near as good as my camera.
