As previously mentioned, I've migrated from a self-hosted Wordpress blog to Posterous. All old posts have been imported but without comments (which I've now turned off anyway.) There's probably some bad links in the archives too but will find and fix those at a later date. Doing this in conjunction with migrating the domain's email to Google Apps means I should save myself a few quid next year as I no longer need web hosting. Hooray!

I'm abandoning my own web hosting in favour of letting others do the hard work. Some disruption may occur.

As with previous years here are the most popular search terms for hitting my site in 2010:

It's hard to believe that Ferrero Rocher was the number one way that people found my blog last year but there it is. A lot of wedding marquee decorating also took place last year it seems. And to the more, ahem, random, searches: is that some motherfucking cake - Yes, yes it is babycon - A convention for babies? bubble photography explained - It's some photos of bubbles dick plug - erm.....

Once again 59 of you were typing in the Google search box and not the address bar. Tch. I owe thanks to the odd porn phenomenon that is the dancing bear for sending lots of people my way this year. I fear they may have been disappointed when they got here though. My favourite other random searches: 'thirty girls and a cup' dancing bear - I don't want to know.... 2 worded names for snow - cold stuff? ice rain? 2nd birthday wording terrible 8 barrelled pom-poms - sounds like a particularly effeminate gun assyst ooh - ooh? bbc entertainment porno - that's what my licence fee goes towards‽ Quick, to the Daily Mail! bear armpits dancing sausages - like this?

The Beetle Bugs playgroup is run from the Belvedere Centre on Belvoir Street every Wednesday from 9.30am to 11.30am (including over the Summer Holidays if the demand is there). Your entry fee of £1.50 will get you a cup of tea and a biscuit for you and a healthy snack and a drink for your little one(s) along with a group activity of some variety post snack. This has been a public service announcement.

    Random snippets:
    • I'm impressed I've managed to blog every day (give or take) over the past week and a half.
    • Where did the good weather go? Last week was fantastic weather but it's been gloomy and/or rainy since the weekend.
    • We finally got around to seeing Watchmen over the past few nights (it's the Director's Cut and is looooong). I'm very familiar with the graphic novel, I found it good but an almost exact conversion from paper to film so was almost exactly what I expected. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
    • Mirabelle is potty training! We started yesterday and it's going pretty well so far, a couple of accidents today at playgroup but that's to be expected.
    • Lists are fun.

Last year 1,009 searches from Google brought people to my blog. In amongst the more usual search terms such as "ickle pickle", "darren austin topcroft" and, my personal favourite, "www.neverandforever.com" (just type that in your address bar you idiots!) I also had searches for "eating pork makes sleepy", "drunk ppl talking about pickles", "grateful dead dancing bear nursery" and "photos of muscle relaxants looks like a house". WTF?

Was broken and multi-posting like a thing possessed so I stopped the weekly digest updates, it may have been fixed so I've re-enabled it for now. Let's see how many posts it generates tonight....
