Is not what my Dad said to me when he proposed lending us their car for the weekend so I can rack up some valuable driving experience before we get our own car in April. Nevertheless we were extremely grateful and pleased at the opportunity. Thus I drove him back to Topcroft, then from Topcroft to The Range via the A47 (including a brief detour off and back on it after I took the wrong exit) and then to Riverside for shopping and an impromptu, but very tasty, meal at Frankie & Benny’s before returning home. Above all it was rather odd and has highlighted that I a) need to have a better idea of where I’m going before going anywhere and b) I need to practice my bay parking – I can reverse into a space with no problems but up until today hadn’t parked front-first at all and managed to make reversing out afterwards much harder than it needed to be. Still, this is the reason why I’m doing it. No idea what we’re going to do tomorrow, other than Chloe going on a driving lesson in the morning. The world is our lobster!
