There will be two tales from London, this is the first.
As you may have surmised from my Twitter activity we were in Aylesbury from Wednesday night and visited olde London town on Thursday evening so Chloe could go to a gig with David whilst I was entrusted with escorting Mirabelle around in her absence (Bee stayed at her Mormor’s* but as Miri would have needed milk and steadfastly refuses to have a bottle we elected to bring her along for the ride). She was an absolute star. After leaving Chloe, Miri and I jumped on the Tube (with her in the sling) with intentions of heading to Oxford Street then Regent Street and the Apple Store. However she started getting grumpy with being on the train so we got off at Westminster and she promptly fell asleep within 5 minutes of being off the Tube leaving me free to enjoy the delights of South Bank without worrying about her getting upset or grumpy. It being London it was still pretty busy but there was a good atmosphere and lots of things to see as I wandered round. My favourite was an installation called Volume that reacted to motion by putting on a light and music show:
I also saw some very talented buskers, a very good BMX’er, a Nokia roller-skating event that Hot Chip were performing at and a gorgeous sunset. It was a good evening.
At about 9.15 Miri decided to wake up so I started a meandering journey back to the venue to get Chloe. We eventually got home at 1am, exceedingly tired. So we decided to do it all again on Saturday with Beebe…..
