Wensum and Waterloo Parks
After yesterday we decided to take it easy and visit one of Norwich’s many lovely historic parks. Wensum was chosen for proximity and general goodness so off we went with picnic in hand and excited little girls.
First we went to the playground:

Here’s Bee on a rather large slide:

Here’s Miri halfway up said large slide before deciding at the top she wanted “Down now please.” Cue one slightly too large Daddy going down the slide with her:

After that we decided it was picnic time, fed some ducks, watched a man feed swans and cygnets from the palm of his hand and ate well. It was rather hot at this point as you may well imagine
Then followed an impromptu decision to go to Waterloo Park as it’s only about 5 minutes away from Wensum Park and has a very big paddling pool:
Hometime soon followed and naps were had by the girls whilst Chloe and I rested from the heat and effort of pushing a double-pushchair laden with children and food all that way and back.
For the evening we scrubbed ourselves clean and went to The Fountain for burger goodness. A second impromptu decision afterwards led us to the Plantation Gardens which I’ve somehow never visited despite living in Norwich for the last nine years. The girls enjoyed exploring and spotting frogs in the fountain. I neglected to bring my camera so here’s a shot from my N95 8GB from the top of the Italian terrace:
