Chloe’s Mum and Tyler are now on their way down but won’t be here till late so we must remember not to go to bed at 10 tonight. Yes I know.

This afternoon Jo, Chris, Phil and Beth came over to see Bee (and us of course). A lovely time was had by all and it was good to see them and catch up as they’d not seen Bean since she was 4 weeks old. As it happens Bee was on top form and didn’t even get that grumpy even though she was tired and ready for bed by the end of it.

In other Bee related news we got her bouncer out of the loft and popped her in it earlier so here’s a picture of her modelling it:

It’s Easter!

Chloe’s family returned home on Wednesday leaving us to get our lives back to usual with nothing much going on till the weekend….

Friday we made a brief sojourn into the city and went to the French Market and that was about it really.

Saturday we had a lazy quiet day at home, it seems like ages since we had one of those, although Woody and his family came over in the morning to see the Bean which meant we weren’t completely antisocial.

Sunday we went over to my parents for an Easter Sunday meal with my Grandparents and my Sister and fiancee which was very lovely and it also meant we got to see our cats again!

Today we went to Aldeburgh in Suffolk just to have a wander round really, it was quite busy as evidently everyone had the same idea as us, damn our predictable thinking. Bee seemed to enjoy herself at any rate!

And now some random pictures:

Jesus Walks

I’m used to movies not featuring the main song from the soundtrack in the actual film itself and it instead appearing over the end credits (see: Batman & Robin, or rather don’t) but I think Jarhead must be unique in that Kanye West’s Jesus Walks is featured in all promotional advertising for the film but the version that plays over the end credits is missing all of Mr West’s rapping. How bizarre.

In Jarhead Jake Gyllenhall joins the marines, they go off to Saudi Arabia and then Iraq and then nothing happens. No really. It’s quite strange to see a war film with no actual war taking place. I think I enjoyed it but as it’s something of anti-climax – which is entirely the point – it’s kind of hard to judge.

So, what else have we been up to? We had a quiet day to ourselves on Saturday with a brief trip out to a local organic greengrocers that was expensive and annoying and a quiet night in watching movies. Sunday we went to Lucy & Nige’s for a lovely lunch and then sat about chatting as we usually do. All in all a nice quiet weekend and potentially the last one with just the two of us. Eek!

Indeed it is. One we have so far spent at Lucy and Nige’s seeing in the new year playing Simpsons themed boardgames and watching TV and then latterly at my parents for the past two days enjoying their hospitality and seeing our cats again. Here’s Beezle being silly: IMG_4473.JPG

All in all it’s been a wonderful Christmas and New Year as we got to see both families and our friends and have had lots of wonderful company and food. And to finish, here’s two pictures my Mum made for us of our cats (who are now returned to us and fast asleep on the dining table): IMG_4475.JPG

Our Christmas

Our tree:
IMG_4359.JPG

Anyway, we’ve had two Christmases so far. One yesterday wherein Chloe laid on a fantastic buffet and we had Lucy, Nige, Alice, Chris, Jo, Beth and Phil over for Secret Santa stuff which was fun and cool. And then today my parents and Charlotte & Darren stopped by for a takeaway and more present swapping which was a lovely evening.

Wednesday we’re off to Aylesbury to spend Christmas with Chloe’s family which should be really good. No idea if I’ll get a chance to update between then and our return so we’ll see how it goes….

Yesterday

Yesterday we got up early, took Alice to go and see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (pretty good but just seemed to be missing a certain something I can’t quite put my finger on) and later went to Nige’s birthday meal at Zak’s (who forgot to charge us for dessert, yay!).

And now some pictures.
