For my birthday, my wonderful wife is going to cook me a cake of my choosing every month. Last month was my birthday cake which was a chocolate salted caramel cake:

Mmmmm Chocolate Salted Caramel Cake

This month I asked for a lemon cake, I didn’t mind what sort so long as it was filled with sweet lemony goodness. I got this. It is very good indeed.

Today my amazing fiancé turned 25. To celebrate I had the day off and we headed to Eaton Park. And lo I did take photos:

Although this one of Bee & her beloved Hank pre-dates today and wasn’t even taken by me yet I have the audacity to post one of Chloe’s photos as if it were my own. Oh how the mighty have fallen:

We took Bee’s scooter. Here she is midway through falling off said scooter:

She’s walked Las Ramblas but not with real intent:

Pickle!

With the coming of our second daughter rapidly approaching I thought I’d take a little time out to talk about how amazingly wonderful Chloe is. She really has changed my life for the better since we first met in the dark and dingy corridors of NU some 3 years ago (yes, only 3). From the great big huge things like buying a house and having a child together to little things like introducing me to a wider variety of food and getting me into CSI(!) she really has turned my life upside down (in a good way!). I remember when we first decided to move in together after a shorter space of time than we would have wanted due to our circumstances, we weren’t sure at all if it’d work out but were willing to give it a go and I think it’s safe to say that it was a pretty damn good decision! She lights up my life every day with her intellect, humour and brilliant outlook on life; she’s an amazing Mum to our daughter and I can’t imagine my life without her.

Pickles I loves you!
