Pettitts
“Weather be damned” we said and went to Pettitts Animal Adventure Park with Nicky, Grace and Alice. A few odd showers were mixed with searing heat but the weather held until about 2 so we got our money’s worth at least (spoken like a true Brit). Some exciting thunder and massive downpour accompanied our departure but sadly no exciting lightning was seen.
The sale
Having spent the majority of the previous evening preparing for it we embarked upon the Pickle Paints sale at the Busy Beehive nursery Summer fun day on Colman Road. Quite a bit of interest and a smattering of sales meant it went well, if not spectacularly so. We had a good time though and the girls kept themselves entertained:
After that we had a brief stop at a friend’s house and the girls had a paddle in their paddling pool followed by an ice cream but sadly none for us 
For the evening we ordered Chinese food and watched the movie Green Street which was a lot better than we expected.
